RAJUT, is inspired by traditional hand knitting technique with metal in the island of Sumba,
Indonesia. This technique is used to make the Sumbanese accessories in the traditional wedding
ceremonies (kanatar)for the bride to be. This skills has been passed down from generation to generation.
Capung, Teratai, Awan and Bawang are all part of this Rajut collection, we now add also wall mirror to our Teratai pieces.
BAWANG is a new additon to our Rajut collection. it is inspired by one of the most common spices that used in Asia, onion or bawang in Indonesian. The techniques of stainless steel knitting has been pass down from generation to generation in Sumba, we are happy that we are able to develop using this traditional technique. The shade are made in layers just like bawang itself. The layered shades add additional dimension and they soften and disperse the warmth glow of the light source in two sequences.
